A versatile and popular athlete, Pete Potter earned the remarkable total of 11 First Colours during his UofT athletic career. In nine seasons of basketball (1952-3 to 56-7 and 1958-9 to 1961-2), he was President of the Basketball Club 4 times (1953-55, 1956-57 and 1959-60), Most Valuable Player in 1959-60 and captain from 1959-61.
Potter played Varsity Football in 1959 and was also active in intercollegiate Track and Field, winning the High Jump in 1952 and a relay Gold Medal in 1954. He was a member of the Men's Athletic Directorate in 1959-60 and received the Biggs Trophy in 1960 for his outstanding contributions to UofT athletics in leadership and performance. He is practising Dentistry in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
