Louise Hanna competed for the Blues in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field from 1970-77, and dominated the High Jump event during her career. She was National High Jump champion in 1973 and 1975, and set an Intercollegiate record of 1.87m (6'1.6") in 1975, when she was ranked fifth in the world. While at UofT, she was very active in intramural athletics, and served as President of the Medicine Women's Athletic Association and as a member of the Women's Athletic Association Directorate.
She represented Canada at four major International Games: the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, 1974 Commonwealth Games (Silver Medal) and 1975 Pan-American Games.
Following graduation, Hanna Walker embarked on a career in Sport Medicine. She is co-Director of the Nepean Sport Medicine Centre in Ottawa and was President of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine from 1989-90.
