Tim Reid was an outstanding halfback during four seasons of Varsity Football. He was a member of the Intermediate champions in 1955, and then moved up to the Senior Blues from 1956-58. Reid set a league scoring record with 68 points in 1958.
He also competed in Intercollegiate Track and Field, winning the Gold Medal in low hurdles in 1955 and helping Blues win the league title in 1957.
Reid received a Rhodes Scholarship in 1960, and after returning from Oxford, he played in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger Cats, 1962 Grey Cup finalists.
He was a member of Ontario Legislature (Scarborough East) from 1967-71 and was voted Toronto's "Young Man of the Year" by Junior Board of Trade 1969. He joined the federal government in 1974 and in the following 11 years held five Assistant Deputy Minister positions. Reid then became Dean of Business at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and was appointed President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in 1989. His son Dylan was a member of the Fencing Blues from 1985-89.
