A five-time OUA all-star and CIS All-Canadian and three-time OUA women’s swimmer of the year, Liz Warden is one of the University of Toronto’s most outstanding swimmers. Warden was named the CIS women’s swimmer of the year in both 2002 and 2003. She won the BLG award as the overall CIS women’s athlete of the year in 2002.

During her five seasons with the Varsity Blues, Liz won 13 CIAU individual titles, helping them to three OUA titles and two OUA silver medals, as well as two CIAU silver medals and one bronze medal. She was twice named the T-Holders’ Female Athlete of the Year and competed nationally and internationally throughout her career.

In 1998, Liz earned a silver medal at the Kuala Lumpar Commonwealth Games in the 400 individual medley (IM). She also earned bronze in the 200 IM at the 1999 World University Games in Spain. She went on to represent Canada at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, placing 11th in the 400 IM.

Liz currently coaches with the Toronto Swim Club and has been a teacher within the TDSB since 2006.
