During five seasons with the Blues (1976-78, 1980-81), Dan Feraday set numerous Varsity, league and national passing records, many of which survived for more than 15 years. Among his many records were: Yards Passing--Game, 546; Season, 2656; Career, 7159; Completions--Game, 41; Season, 194; Career 501; Touchdown Passes--Season, 21; Career, 50. He was voted the UofT Male Athlete of the Year for 1980-81 and then in the fall of 1981, he was named winner of the Hec Crighton Trophy as Canada's outstanding university player and was also the OUAA's Most Valuable Player. Feraday was an OUAA All-Star and Varsity team captain in 1978, 1980 and 1981, Blues Most Valuable Player and the CIAU All-Canadian quarterback in 1980 and 1981, and a UofT Silver T recipient in 1980. In 1982, the Cincinnati Bengals made him the first Canadian university quarterback to be selected in the National Football League draft. Feraday was a member of the Hockey Blues in 1980-81 and also played Intramural Hockey for St. Michael's College. He was an assistant coach with the Football Blues for 3 years, including the 1983 Yates Cup champions. He is a team leader and instructor in the Metropolitan Toronto Police Emergency Task Force and received a Metro Toronto Medal of Merit for bravery in 1992.
