Cressy McCatty joined his late brother and fellow inductee Winston McCatty to lead the Blues to numerous personal and team championships in aquatics sports from 1932-37. Cressy was a backstroke specialist on the swim Blues for four years, winning six medals (four gold, two silver) and helping Varsity earn the league title in 1935 and 1937. He also won the bronze medal in Diving in 1933 and played one season with the water polo Blues. He competed in Intramural swimming for four years and water polo for three years, winning numerous individual and team titles, and earning the Durnan Trophy as overall individual champion in 1935-36.
Cressy was on the men's athletics staff in 1952-53 and coached the Varsity's men's swim Blues from 1952-58, winning four league titles. He represented Jamaica at the 1934 British Empire Games.
