The 1991-92 University of Toronto female athlete of the year, Suzanne Deschamps played a major role in establishing the reputation that the Varsity Blues women’s volleyball program has today.

A tournament all-star on U of T’s first OWIAA women’s volleyball championship team in 1988-89, Suzanne was also a three-time league all-star and was named both a CIAU all-Canadian and academic all-Canadian in 1992. A two-time Varsity Blues team captain, Suzanne was selected to the CIAU East high performance team in 1989.

During her time at U of T, she also played on the Scarborough Solars, winning two provincial club championships and one Canadian junior volleyball championship title.
Suzanne was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honour society U of T Medicine in 1994 for achieving high honours throughout medical school. She practices family medicine in West Salem, OR.
