Kay Worthington

Kay Worthington was a leading member of the Varsity rowing program from 1979-82, and received a U of T Bronze T in 1981 and a Silver T in March 1983.
At the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, she became the first varsity athlete to win two gold medals at one Olympic competition, being a member of Canada's winning crews in the Eights and in the Fours without cox. She also represented Canada at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul (Double Sculls, seventh place) and the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles (Eights, fourth place).

Worthington has represented Canada at more than 15 international regattas since 1980, winning three golds, two silvers and four bronze medals. She competed at World Championships in 1981, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986 and 1987, and also qualified for seven national championship regattas since 1979, winning six  gold and five silver medals.

Following her Olympic success, Worthington became active in triathlon competitions and launched a business career in computer software marketing.
