A versatile athlete, Sharon Wilson Bradley represented the university as a member of both the women's Varsity basketball and field hockey teams. A goalkeeper, she backstopped the field hockey Blues to four Ontario championships (1966-69). In basketball, after two seasons on the intermediate squad she joined the senior team, which won the "Bronze Baby" in 1969 then captained the team in 1970. Sharon was also highly involved in intramural sport where she played and officiated in numerous activities. She was the curator for the intramural basketball program in 1968-69, and as President of the PHE Undergraduate Women's Athletic Association, served as a member of the Women's Athletic Association Directorate and a student delegate to the WIAU. Sharon was also active in provincial and national field hockey and sailing. She was a member of Ontario touring field hockey teams and goalkeeper for the Ontario II team at the 1968 Canadian championships. As a sailor, she competed in the 1966 Canadian Junior Women's Sailing Championships and was one of 12 to qualify in the inaugural class of Ontario certified senior sailing instructors in 1968. Since graduation Sharon has enjoyed a varied career in sport which has included coaching basketball and field hockey, teaching and administration. She was actively involved with both the Ontario and Canadian Intramural Recreation Association and authored the first Student Workbook for Leadership Development, published in 1985 as part of the CIRA student leadership development program as a prototype for a resource that is still actively used today. Currently, she is the Executive Director of Development for the Faculty of Physical Education and Health at U of T.
