Hall of Fame
Adam Barr was an outstanding player on the Football Blues for seven seasons, and was captain of the 1895 Ontario Rugby Football Union (ORFU) and Canadian championship team and the 1896 ORFU champions. He later coached the Blues for five seasons: 19O3 (Intercollegiate champions), 19O4, 19O5 (Intercollegiate and Canadian champions), 19O6 and 1925.
He was President of the Canadian Rugby Union in 19O6 and was closely associated with the CRU rules committee for many years. Barr was also a member of the Hockey Blues for four seasons and played one year of intercollegiate Lacrosse. He served four terms on the U of T men's Athletic Directorate (1895-97, 19O9-1O, 1919-2O).
Rev. Barr was ordained an Anglican priest in 19O1 and was for many years Curate of the Church of the Redeemer in Toronto. In 1919 he was General Organizer of the Memorial Committee which arranged for the installation of bells in the Memorial Tower of Hart House.
