Hall of Fame
Ken Money competed for the Varsity Blues in two intercollegiate sports: Swimming (1954-56), winning two Gold Medals in the medley relay, and Track and Field (1955, 1957-59), where he won four Gold Medals in High Jump, was a key member of league championship teams in 1955 and 1957, and in 1955 received the Hec Phillips Award as the outstanding athlete at the league championship meet. He was coached for six years by Hal Brown, a 1989 inductee to the Sports Hall of Fame.
Money represented Canada at the 1956 Olympic Games, placing fifth in the High Jump. He has won Masters titles in High Jump (world, 1985) and Badminton (USA, 1986). Co-author of more than 40 scientific papers, he joined the NASA space program in 1962 and is currently in the Canadian astronaut program. He served as alternate and ground contact for Roberta Bandar's historic space flight earlier this year.
