Saul Marks led the U of T men’s diving team to three OUAA championships from 1982-84. He was team captain in the 1983-84 season, and earned his Silver T in 1986. Saul was named the outstanding male diver at the 1983 CIAU championship after claiming the threemetre gold and one-metre silver. He twice earned all-Canadian honours and was a member of the senior national diving team from 1980-84.
Saul has served as a sports psychiatrist with the International Sports Federation Medical Committee. He was the FINA honorary secretary of the FINA Sports Medicine Committee and was the first psychiatrist to be appointed to an international federation’s Sports Medicine Committee. He has also served on the executive board for the International Society for Sports Psychiatry since 2006.
