Chris was the first-round selection for the Edmonton Eskimos in the 1992 CFL college draft. He started in his first-ever CFL game and was the Eskimos’ nominee for outstanding Rookie of the Year. He went on to play 237 career games and 20 playoff games and led the team as their co-captain from 2000 to 2005. During the last nine years of his career, he was also teaching full-time and was appointed Department Head of Social Studies at one of Edmonton’s largest schools.
