Charles Gossage was the welterweight individual champion in both 1921-22 and 1922-23, helping the intercollegiate boxing squad to the team title in 1921-22. He was the manager of the 1923-24 intercollegiate boxing, fencing and wrestling teams, with the wrestling squad winning the league championship.
 
Gossage also competed in three years of interfaculty boxing, winning the championship twice, and played four years of interfaculty football, captaining the team in 1922 and earning one title.
