Hall of Fame
Hal won seven medals in intercollegiate Track and Field: four Silver in 1938 and three Gold in 1939. He won a total of 31 medals in four years of intramural Track and Field, and also participated in intramural Basketball, Baseball and Volleyball. Hal set a long jump record at the 1938 British Empire Games, and in 1946 he won the Canadian titles in long jump, triple jump and javelin. He was involved in coaching Varsity's teams in Cross Country and Track and Field from 1948 until 1970. He also coached at the 1959 Commonwealth Games and the 1960 Olympics. Hal is now retired after many years teaching and coaching at North Toronto Collegiate
