University of Toronto Athletics

Tryout and registration information for the 2025-26 academic year will be posted during the month of July. 

Participation in tryouts requires registration in advance through the Varsity Blues Registration System(VBRS). The deadlines to register for tryouts are in the table below.

Upon completion of the VBRS registration, each participant will then be required to complete the PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire)

The registration for VBRS and PAR-Q must be completed in advance of the try out. Each participant will need to be cleared in order to participate. In order to be cleared in time to try out please register  at least four days before the try out. For new students to University of Toronto, registration on VBRS requires an active UTORID – part of the T-Card process.

Students are still encouraged to contact the respective coach and it is strongly recommended to provide a playing history/resume/video with their communication. If you are unable to attend a tryout but still wish to be considered for selection, please contact the head coach directly.

Note: The registration portal for specific sports will be closed following the advertised deadlines and students who did not complete their registration will not be permitted to participate in the tryout. Same-day registrations and enrollments in the Athlete Health Questionnaire are not permitted.
