Fourth-year goaltender Nicole Kesteris posted 31 saves in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s hockey team to their first win over the Laurier Golden Hawks since 2006 on Saturday night in Waterloo.

The Aurora, Ont., native made 30 stops in regulation, one in overtime and went 2-for-2 in the shoot out to lead the Blues to the 3-2 win over the No. 2 Hawks. The win lifts Toronto within two points of first with only five regular season games remaining.

A human geography major, Kesteris now tops all netminders with an OUA and CIS-leading .950 save percentage in 14 games played.
