Fifth-year guard Alex Hill became the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s basketball all-time leading scorer with a 22-point performance versus the No. 4 Ryerson Rams on Sunday, January 5.
Hill went 7-for-20 from the floor and 6-for7 from the free throw line, while adding five rebounds and two steals. He had a monster second half, notching 18 points, 11 of which came in the third quarter.
The Toronto native needed 15 points to pass Dave West's record (1,269, 1960-61, 62-65) and hit that mark in the final minutes of the third on a free throw. An American Studies major, Hill has 13 regular season games remaining in his five-year career.
