The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's golf team picked up team silver following the completion of the second and final round of the 2025 OUA Golf Championship at Watson's Glen Golf Club on Sunday (Oct.19).
Leading the charge for the U of T women and claiming the overall individual gold medal was second-year standout Mia Wong. The commerce major posted a tournament-best round of 71 on Day 2, leapfrogging her four spots into first place to claim the Judy McCrae Trophy as individual champion with her two-day total of 148. Her spectacular Sunday was highlighted by five birdies and nine pars, helping her achieve OUA all-star status.
First-year Blue Alyssa Kerner also delivered a Top 10 result finishing in a three-way tie for ninth at 158 (79, 79). Meanwhile, just a few strokes behind were Tara O'Connor at 163 (80, 83) and Mia Sung with 164 (79, 85).
All four Blues finished within the Top 20 of the 50-person field.
Toronto's team total of 468 garnered the second step of the team podium, finishing just behind Waterloo who picked up the provincial championship with a score of 463. Windsor rounded out the podium with a third place score of 483.
