LUO AND WONG PLACE TOP 25 AT CANADIAN UNIVERSITY-COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Both University of Toronto Varsity Blues golfers Mia Wong and Bryan Luo claimed Top 25 results at the 2026 Canadian University College Championships this week at Golf La Tempête in Lévis, Quebec.

Typically, a four-round tournament across four days of competition, this year's installment of the national showcase was shortened due to inclement weather. The adjustment saw a rained out third day, shifting the results to a three-round score that concluded on Friday (June 19) afternoon.

Luo finished with an impressive overall score of 218 (72, 73, 73) to finish in a seven-way tie for 22nd among the 105 total entrants in the men's field. Meanwhile, Wong finished in the top half of the 51 competitors on the women's side of the draw, scoring a 242 (78, 81, 83) across the three completed rounds, placing 24th overall.

Anthony Jomphe of the Montreal Carabins won the individual title for the men with a final tally of 205, while Katherine Hao of the UBC Thunderbirds claimed the individual women's gold with a final score of 215.

The UBCO Heat earned the men's team title by a 10-stroke margin and the UBC Thunderbirds won the women's team event with a 17-stroke advantage.
