The duo of Mia Wong and Bryan Luo will head to Lévis, Quebec next week to represent the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at the 2026 Canadian University/College Golf Championships, presented by BDO.
The annual national championships hosted by Golf Canada brings together the best from across Canadian universities and colleges, and this season will feature a four-round tournament at Golf La Tempête - South Course. Following a practice round on Monday (June 15), the competition will begin on Tuesday (June 16) with a cut scheduled to occur after Round 3.
Wong enters the showcase event as the OUA champion, winning the Judy McCrae Trophy as individual champion this past fall. The OUA all-star delivered on an exceptional final round at the provincial tournament, scoring five birdies and nine pars en route to the gold medal. Her efforts also helped the Varsity Blues to a team silver in the overall team standings. A commerce major from Markham, Wong was a major part of he U of T women's team success this past fall seeing Tonroto earn four team podiums during the invitational season. She additionally scored individual bronze at the Toronto Invitational while adding Top 10 finishes at both the Waterloo and Western Invitationals.
A fourth-year Varsity Blues veteran, Luo brings plenty of experience to the men's side of the bracket for U of T. The Communications, Culture, Information and Technology major from Guangzhou, China has competed at the last three OUA Championships. This included a career best 14th-place finish this past fall at the Oshawa Golf & Curling Club. His consistency, posting rounds of 75 and 74 at the two-day provincial showcase, has been a key ingredient to his success on the course for the Blue and White.
