Third-year veteran golfer Mia Wong won her second consecutive invitational as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues golf team took to Sawmill Golf Course on Sunday (Sept. 20) for the annual Brock Invitational.

After delivering the top score at the Guelph Fall Kickoff just a week ago, Wong once again placed herself at the top of the leaderboard with a round of 75. Tying for seventh, Mia Sung notched an 87 while not far behind in 12th was Yasmina Driss at 92. The trio's combined score of 254 placed the U of T women into third place in the overall team standings. Alexis Byun rounded out the Blues women with a score of 96.

In a field of 11 teams, the U of T men placed fifth in the team standings with a score of 315. Leading the Blues men was Ben Maclean who tied for seventh with a strong round of 76. The duo of Mac Andrekson and Sandro Di Felice were right behind at 77, while Jordan Hutchings and Jason Yang both notched an 81. Rounding out the Blues men was Shao Liu at 83.

The Varsity Blues next head to London for the Western Invitational on Monday, Sept. 21. The men will be playing at St. Thomas Golf and Country Club while the women will take to West Haven Golf and Country Club.
