Hosting some of the best from across the province at Islington Golf Club on Monday (Oct. 5), the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's golf team were able to claim bronze at the home invitational.

Dealing with tough winds throughout the day, the U of T women finished third overall in the team standings, placing just behind Windsor in second and Guelph in first. Both Mia Wong and Cindy Xiao finished in a tie for 9th with rounds of 89. Close behind, Lucie Liu and Mia Sung scored 93. Alexis Byun rounded out the U of T women at 100.

Meanwhile, the Varsity Blues men finished in a tie for seventh in the overall team standings. Jason Yang delivered the top result for the men placing 15th with a round of 81. Shao Liu also produced a Top 20 finish scoring an 82 to tie for 20th. Blues scoring was rounded out by Sandro Di Felice (84), Mac Andrekson (86), Leo Liang (87), Jacob Tong (91), and Daniel Vandyke (92).

Next up for the both the U of T men and women will be the 2026 OUA Championships, hosted this year in Ottawa from Oct. 17-18.
