In their first preseason matchup, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team drew 2-2 with the Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon at Varsity Stadium.
 
Quinton Chung opened the scoring for the Blues within a minute of the opening whistle. Michael Maslanta led the way for the Blues with a goal and an assist, while also recording a team-high three shots on target. 
 
Blues goalie Maxwell Campeau finished the game with eight saves. 
 
For the Mustangs, Grant Tokaz and Josh Solomon recorded a goal each to secure the tie, while Alex West recorded a game-high five shots on goal. 
 
The Blues return to action on Thursday, August 24 when they face off against the McMaster Marauders in preseason play at Varsity Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
