The Varsity Blues baseball team fell to the Waterloo Warriors 14-5 in a pre-season game on Tuesday (Sept. 13) in Waterloo, Ont.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Joon Choi pitched 2.1 innings for the Blues, finishing his time with three strikeouts and allowing four runs.
Blues' Kento Moriyoshi, Kevin Angers, Carter Hercun, Easton Kirkpatrick and Sean Kwok scored the five runs for the Blues.
Warriors' pitcher Robbie Price went three innings, striking out three batters and allowing one hit and a run. Jacob English finished the game for the Warriors, striking out three batters and allowing four runs on eight hits.
Jorden Carthy led the way for the Warriors finishing the game with three runs. Spencer Voisin, Stefan Mielzynski, Gabe King and Liam Kelly had two runs each for the Warriors. Owen Coyle, Justin Sargeson and Luke Zettel had one run each.
UP NEXT: The Blues take the field again on Saturday, September 17
th in a double header against Toronto Metropolitan University at Dan Lang Field.
