The defending OUA champion, Varsity Blues baseball team began their exhibition schedule over the weekend as they travelled east to Montreal for three games against McGill.
Originally scheduled to play McGill twice and then Concordia in their final game of the set, a late scheduling adjustment ultimately meant to Blues would battle McGill three times instead.
On Friday (Aug. 26), in the first of the three games, the Blues were able to take a 5-2 lead over McGill, however, the homeside would rally and go on to walk-off Toronto 6-5.
Playing Saturday (Aug. 27) morning, the Blues were defeated 5-2 by McGill before falling in the third and final game of the exhibition set, played later that same day, 7-3.
Next up for the Blues, they will head to Oshawa on August 31 to take on the Durham College Lords in another exhibition contest.
Toronto's regular season is set to get underway on September 10, when they head to Sudbury, Ont., for a doubleheader against Laurentian.
