BASEBALL BATTLES BROCK IN ST CATHARINES

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team notched an 11-1 victory and 2-1 loss versus the Brock Badgers on Friday, October 5 in St. Catharines, Ont.

With the split, the Blues improve to 11-5 and remain in first place in the OUA standings.

Tanner Young-Schultz led the Blues with three hits and three RBI in Game 1. Roy Suzuki also had three hits and two RBI, while Brandon Hadfield notched two hits and two RBI. Mateos Kekatos pitched seven innings, striking out seven and allowing just one run in the win.

Alex Tobascio pitched five and a third innings in Game 2, striking out two, while Grant Shantz closed with two innings, striking out four and allowing one run. 
 
The Blues wrap up the regular season in Hamilton, Ont., tomorrow, taking on the McMaster Marauders at 12:00 and 3:30 p.m.
