The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team defeated the Guelph Gryphons, 5-2, in semi-final action on Sunday morning (Oct. 21) at the 2018 OUA championship in Ajax, Ont.

The defending champion Blues will take on the Laurier Golden Hawks, who beat the Laurentian Voyageurs 10-0 in the other semifinal of the day, in a rematch of last year's OUA final. Game time is set for 1:30pm

Gabriel Nakonechny led the Blues with two hits and one RBI, while Michael Deluca had two hits and Roy Suzuki had one RBI. 

Peter Nash pitched a complete nine innings, striking out four and allowing just five hits.
