BLUES BLANK RIDGEBACKS ON THE ROAD

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team notched a dominant 5-0 victory over the UOIT Ridgebacks on Wednesday, September 21 in Oshawa, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues improve to 4-1-2 and sit in third place in the OUA East division.
 
Second-year midfielder Harry Michelis opened the scoring in the eighth minute, notching his second goal of the season.
 
Veteran midfielder Nikolay Saveliev padded Toronto's lead 10 minutes later with a goal assisted by Nirun Sivananthan. The Blues were up 2-0 at the half.
 
Rookie Delano Capobianco put U of T up by three in the 55th minute, scoring his second career goal, while Michelis and team co-captain Lukas MacNaughton rounded out the scoring with goals in the 72nd and 80th minutes, respectively.
 
Blues goalkeeper Mark Rogal made five saves in the clean sheet victory.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action this Saturday, September 24 as they travel to Kingston, Ont., to take on the RMC Paladins. Game time is set for 3:15 p.m.
