BLUES DOWN RAMS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team defeated the Ryerson Rams 5-1 on Saturday, September 19 at Dan Lang Field.

The second game of the double header was rained out.

The Blues got on the board in the bottom of the third inning when Tanner Young-Schultz drove in three runs. The Blues added to their lead in the eighth to take a 5-0 lead, but the Rams spoiled the shut out in the top of the ninth with a single run.

Offensively, Young-Schultz led the Blues with three RBI on one hit, while Kravice Batts added one RBI.

Colin Edwards pitched six innings, striking out four on the day.

The Varsity Blues are back at it tomorrow as they host the Guelph Gryphons at Dan Lang Field.
