BLUES, LAKERS PLAY TO SCORELESS DRAW

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team extended their undefeated streak to four games after playing to a 0-0 draw with the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday afternoon in North Bay, Ont.

The Blues are now 3-1-1 and sit in third place in the OUA East, with one game in hand over the second-place Ravens (4-1-1).

Blues goalkeeper Rab Bruce-Lockhart made three saves for the clean sheet.

"I think defensively in the first half we were decent, but towards the second half we vastly improved," said Varsity Blues defender Devon Bowyer. "Offensively we were okay, but we lacked the final spark in the final third. A positive is that as a team we have another clean sheet."

The Varsity Blues are back home this Wednesday, September 16 when they host the Trent Excalibur at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 8:15 p.m.
