BLUES EDGE LAKERS ON THE ROAD

Box Score Two first half goals led the University of Toronto men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 18) in North Bay, Ont.

With the win, the Blues improve to 10-3-2 and currently sit in second place in the OUA East heading into the final game of regular season.

Nirun Sivananthan opened the scoring in the 10th minute, and Devon Bowyer added to Toronto's lead in the 37th minute as the Blues carried a 2-0 lead into the half.

Nipissing brought the game within one in the 57th minute with a goal from Brandon TeBrake, but Toronto held on for the win.

Blues goalkeeper Rab Bruce-Lockhart posted six saves in the win.

The Varsity Blues wrap up the regular season tomorrow in Sudbury, Ont., as they take on the Laurentian Voyageurs.
