YOUNG-SCHULTZ LEADS BLUES TO VICTORY

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team defeated the Ryerson Rams 12-4 and 14-8 on Thursday, October 9 at Dan Lang Field.
 
Second-year catcher Tanner Young-Schultz went 7-for-8 on the day, hitting two home runs, a triple, a double and adding five RBI.
 
In the first game of the day, Young-Schultz went 5-for-5 with one home run, a double and two RBI. Kyle Bowers and Chris Nolfi each added two RBI, while Kravice Batts had two clutch singles with one RBI.
 
In the second game, Young-Schultz was 2-for-3 with one home run, a triple and three RBI. Jonathan Sartor added two hits and three RBI, while Adam Odd and Bradley Bedford had two RBI in the win.
 
The Varsity Blues continue their playoff hunt this Saturday, October 11 as they host the Western Mustangs at Dan Lang Field.
