MEN'S SOCCER NOTCHES SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team defeated the RMC Paladins 2-0 on Sunday, October 13 at Varsity Centre.
 
With the with, the Blues improve to 5-4-4 and remain in fifth place in the OUA East division.
 
Veteran striker and Blues leading scorer Mario Kovacevic notched the game-winner in the 58th minute, as he headed fellow co-captain Ezequiel Lubocki's corner kick into the back of the net.

Fourth-year midfielder Veljko Lukovic then notched his second goal of the weekend, scoring on a penalty kick in the 79th minute.

Second-year goalkeeper Rab Bruce Lockhart secured his shut out victory, stopping an RMC penalty kick in the 86th minute, and rookie Jimmy Gogos tallied his first career goal in the 88th minute to secure the 3-0 victory.

The Blues return to action this Wednesday, October 16 as they travel to Kingston, Ont., to take on the Paladins. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

This being the final regular season home game, the Varsity Blues honoured graduating seniors in a special pre-game ceremony.
