The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team went 1-1 with the Western Mustangs on Wednesday night (Oct. 9) in London, Ont.
The Blues dropped the first game 11-7 before rebounding with a 5-3 win.
Veteran Jonathan Sartor led the Blues with three hits and one RBI, while first-year third baseman Kravice Batts also had three hits in the first game of the night.
Peter Nash pitched five innings, allowing one hit and striking out one in the loss.
Veteran Marek Deska pitched the complete seven innings in the second game of the night, striking out 12 in the win.
Andrew Mannone had two hits, while Jonathan Isaac and Tanner Young-Schultz each had an RBI in the win.
The Varsity Blues return to action this Friday, October 11 as they host the McMaster Marauders at Dan Lang Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
