BLUES FALL TO BADGERS IN DOUBLEHEADER

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team dropped two games to the Brock Badgers on Sunday, September 28 at the University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus field.

The Blues could not find their swing in the first game of the day, falling 5-0 to an impressive Badgers squad. Brock pitcher Jordan Prosper tallied seven strike outs in the win.

Down 3-1 after six innings of play, Toronto scored two of their own to even the playing field. However, it would not be enough, as the Badgers scored in the extra inning to come away with a 4-3 victory. Tyler Wilson and Justin Frosina shared pitching duties for the Blues and accumulated five strike outs in the loss.

On Saturday, the Blues split games with the Laurier Golden Hawks winning the first game 3-2 and falling 10-8 in the second.

The Blues return to action on Wednesday, October 1st as they take on the Guelph Gryphons at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus field at 7 p.m.
