The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team went 1-1 in their doubleheader with the McMaster Marauders at the University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus field on Saturday, September 20th.

The first game proved to be close, with the game remaining scoreless until the Marauders tallied four unanswered runs in the sixth inning. Marek Deska pitched six innings for the Blues, facing 27 batters in the 4-0 loss.

Toronto answered back, winning the second game 3-1. The Blues had a 1-0 lead for most of the game, before Mike Dahiroc drove in two more runs in the fifth inning to secure the win. Tyler Wilson pitched the entire game, tallying five strikeouts in the process.

The Blues travel to Waterloo on Sunday, September 21 to face the Warriors at 1 p.m.
