BLUES CAP OFF REGULAR SEASON WITH FOUR GAME WIN STREAK

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team defeated the Guelph Gryphons 2-0 on Sunday (Oct. 18) afternoon at Back Campus Fields.

The Blues have concluded the regular season with an 8-1-3 (W-L-T) record and have clinched second-place in the OUA standings, qualifying for the postseason hosted by the York Lions on Oct. 24-25 at Alumni Field in Toronto.

Toronto played a strong match from start to finish in their home finale of the 2026 season. An early stop by second-year goalkeeper Mary Yang set the tone for the Blue and White and first-year forward Olivia Thompson's early in the match and as they kept pushing for an insurance marker and were rewarded for their effort late in the match when team captain Maggie Mullins scored on a penalty shot 57 minutes into the game.

Now, Toronto turns their attention to postseason where U of T will continue their quest to add another championship to the program's history. Schedules and seeding are to be announced.
