The University of Toronto Varsity Blues wrestling team continued their 2025-26 invitational schedule with the Western Open in London on Sunday (Jan. 18).

Grabbing a second-place finish in the men's 76kg category, Josiah Mayers-Noel delivered the top result of the day for the Varsity Blues. Both Senuki Dasanayaka and Lyla Williams earned fifth place finishes in their respective weight classes of the women's 56kg and 68kg. Maya Salman grabbed a Top 6 finish in the 62kg, while Alexandra Lubczenko also placed sixth in the 76kg.

Priming themselves for the OUA Championships scheduled for Saturday, Fab. 7 in London, the Varsity Blues will have one more tune-up next heading to the Guelph Open on Saturday, Jan. 24.
