Competing on Saturday (Jan. 10) in St. Catharines at the annual Brock Open, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues wrestling team earned seven Top 6 finishes.

Delivering the top results of the day, Bernard Cameron grabbed a second-place finish in the men's 90kg bracket and Josiah Mayers-Noel took second in the men's 76kg category. He was joined in the Top 6 of the 90kg competition by teammate Lucas Andtbacka who placed sixth overall. Varsity Blues veteran Ketan Newbatt added a fourth-place finish for U of T in the men's 65kg category, while Dhruv Khanna placed sixth in 57kg and Ryan Bayan-Memar took sixth in 72kg.

On the women's side of the meet, first-year Varsity Blue Lyla Williams earned fifth-place in the 68kg category.

Next up for the Varsity Blues will be the Western Open scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 18.
