Taking to Sawmill Golf Course in Fenwick, Ont., the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's golf teams each earned Top 5 results.
In the women's team competition, the Varsity Blues placed third overall with a team score of 242. U of T would finish just one stroke back of second-place Guelph (241) and four strokes back of first-place Queen's (238).
Mia Sung delivered the top individual result for the Toronto women, finishing fourth on the leaderboard with a single-day total of 77. Tara O'Connor was right behind her at 81, placing her in seventh. Cindy Xiao and Sara Cumby rounded out the Varsity Blues women with scored of 84 and 85, respectively.
For the men, U of T finished in a tie for fifth in the team standings alongside Laurier with a team total of 308. Queen's (291), Waterloo (296), and Brock (301) made up the team podium.
Individually, both Bryan Luo and Desmond White were part of a four-way tie for fourth-place at 73 on the day. The trio of Shao Liu, Jason Yang and Preston Chan rounded out the five scores for Toronto with Liu posting an 80, while both Yang and Chan delivered rounds of 82.
Next up for the Blues will be dual events in Waterloo next weekend (Sept. 27-28). The men travel to Rebel Creek Golf Course and Grey Silo Golf Course for the Laurier-Waterloo Invitational, while the U of T women take to Cambridge Golf Club for the Waterloo Invitational.
