BLUES GOLF OPENS NEW SEASON AT WESTERN INVITATIONAL

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues golf teams opened their 2025 campaign competing at the Western Invitational on Monday, Sept. 15.

The U of T women took to West Haven Golf & Country Club in London for their leg of the invitational. The Blues placed second overall in the team standings, posting a combined score of 238 for the day. Grace Mayer topped the Toronto results finishing in fourth individually recording a 76. Both Mia Wong and Alyssa Kerner tied for ninth with identical scores of 81. Ashley Noh rounded out the U of T competitors placing 20th with a score of 89.

The men were at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club where U of T finished tied for fifth in the team standings with a combined score of 303. The Blues saw two players achieve Top 5 individual results as Bryan Luo and Desmond White posted scores of 73 to finish in a tie for fifth. Sandro Di Felice was just behind the duo with a score of 77 to finish in a tie for 20th.

Both the men's and women's teams will be back on the links on Sunday, Sept. 21, traveling to Sawmill Golf Course in Fenwick, Ont., to compete at the Brock Invitational.
