BLUES WIN WATERLOO INVITATIONAL

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's golf team placed first overall at the Waterloo Invitational, September 28-29, at Cambridge Golf Club.
 
The Blues finished with a combined team score of 475, five strokes ahead of the Queen's Gaels. Waterloo placed third with 487, while the second Blues team placed fourth with a 489.
 
Anna Foley led the Blues with an individual silver medal finish. The PhD student from Toronto shot a two-day total of 154 (79,75), just one stroke off the leader, Katie Neville of Queen's.
 
Other top individual finishes included Mia Wong, who finished fourth overall with a 158 (80,78), while Tara O'Connor tied for eighth with a 161 (76,85). Stephanie Chen also shot a 164 (84,80).
 
The Blues now turn their attention to the OUA championships, October 5-6, hosted by the University of Windsor a Ambassador Golf Club.
