BLUES ARE IN THE HUNT AFTER DAY 1 OF OUA GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Results

The University of Toronto women sit fourth, while the men are ninth after Day 1 of the 2024 OUA golf championships (Oct. 5) at Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, Ont.
 
The Blues women are seven shots off the lead, tied for fourth with the Queen's Gaels with a combined team score of 242. The Guelph Gryphons hold the lead with 235, followed by Carleton (238) and Western (240).
 
Anna Foley leads Toronto and sits four strokes off the leader, tied for fourth individually with a round of 77. Mia Wong shot an 82 and Mia Sung contributed with an 83, while Tara O'Connor shot an 86 on the day.
 
Toronto's men are 13 strokes off the lead, sitting in ninth with a combined team score of 299.
 
Jordan Hutchings shot an even round of 71 and sits tied for seventh individually. Bryan Luo shot an 75, while Kazuma Sawai shot a 76 and Mac Anderson a 77.
 
Day 2 of the championships gets underway tomorrow (Oct. 6) at 10:00 a.m.
