The University of Toronto Varsity Blues wrestling team continued their 2024-25 campaign, jumping back on the mat at the York Open this past Saturday (Nov. 16).

Even with a smaller team contingent competing at the local event, the Blues were able to still see a podium result. Reaching the second step on the podium, women's 56kg wrestler Dany Wang finished second overall in her category. The strong result marks three straight competitions for Wang with a Top 3 finish, previously placing third both at the McMaster Open and TMU Open.

Closing out a busy November competition schedule, the Blues will next serve as host for the U of T Open on Saturday, Nov. 30. Opponents from across the province will make their way to the Athletic Centre this coming weekend to challenge the full team compliment for U of T.
