The Varsity Blues women's soccer team lost 1-0 to the McMaster Marauders in an exhibition match on Thursday (Aug. 24) evening at Varsity Stadium.
 
McMaster scored their lone goal in the 28^th minute after a goal from Jade Abreo.
 
In her 35 minutes of play, Blues goalie Juliana Ottoni recorded three saves. 
 
The game was suspended in the 38^th minute due to a lightning stoppage.
 
The Blues return to action on Sunday, August 27 when they head to St. Catharines, Ont. to play the Brock Badgers in their final preseason match. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
