The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's curling team competed at the 2023 OUA championship, Feb. 10-11, at Peterborough Curling Club.
The Blues went winless through pool play; however, their record does not reflect their strong play. Toronto opened the championship with a narrow 8-7 loss to the Laurentian Voyageurs before dropping a 6-5 decision in extra ends to the McMaster Marauders.
The Blues got off to a rocky start versus the Brock Badgers on Saturday morning, finding themselves down 6-0 after four ends; however, U of T battle back, taking two in the fifth and single points in the sixth and seventh to bring the game within reach. Unfortunately their comeback attempt fell just short as they fell 6-5 to the Badgers.
U of T ended the championship with a 9-3 loss to the Guelph Gryphons.
