The Varsity Blues men's curling team made their way to Guelph, Ont. to participate in the Guelph Invitational this past weekend (Nov. 11-12) at the Guelph Curling Club.
The Blues opened the invitational with a tight match against the York Lions. With the game going to an extra end, Toronto fell 6-5. In their second game of the day, the blue and white went toe-to-toe with the Waterloo Warriors, but narrowly lost 7-5.
With a spot in the quarter-finals on the line, the Blues wrapped up Saturday with a 5-2 win over the Guelph Gryphons. On Sunday morning, Toronto took on Mohawk College in the quarter-finals, but were defeated 4-3.
Up next, the Blues now look ahead to their home bonspiel at the Thornhill Curling Club on Saturday, December 2.
