Box Score The Varsity Blues women's soccer team beat the Trent Excalibur 3-0 on Saturday (Sept. 24) afternoon in Peterborough to get their fifth straight win.
The Blues currently hold a 5-1 record with 15 points, and sit first in the OUA East division.
Both the Blues and Excalibur were held scoreless in the first half.
Forward Lindsay Bosveld opened the scoring for the Blues in the 57
th minute.
Nine minutes later, second-year midfielder Yasmeen Al-Kas scored to double the Blues lead. Hannah Chown would finish the scoring for the Blues with a goal from the penalty spot in the 72
nd minute.
Goalkeeper Maddy Nardin finished the game with three saves. This was her third clean sheet of the season.
The Varsity Blues return to action Sunday, September 25 when they faceoff against the Carleton Ravens at Varsity Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
