The Varsity Blues men's curling team kept up their early-season winning ways, taking all three games at their own bonspiel on Saturday, December 3.
The Blues faced Trent University, Toronto Metro University and the defending OUA champion Laurier Golden Hawks at the Thornhill Club.
The U of T event was a rebirth of the annual event that had not been held for the past several years. Six women's and six men's teams were part of the University of Toronto Invitational.
In the morning match, Toronto played a strong session and came out victorious in six ends over the Trent Excalibur, 8-1.
In Game 2, the Blues kept their foot on the gas pedal against TMU with a 7-1 victory in just six ends.
In the late match, they had their hands full with the Laurier Golden Hawks. Toronto got behind after two ends, 3-0, but battled to get back into the game and ended up winning the see-saw battle with a three count in the last end to win 9-7.
The Blues return to action January 7-8 when they travel to Hamilton for the McMaster Invitational.
